Photographic Opportunities

bulletBring your camera and whilst accompanied by our expert falconer, use this time to take remarkable close up photographs of the stunning selection of birds of prey.

bulletYour first opportunity to handle a bird of prey. Choose one of the birds from the Falconry School and whilst the bird is on your gloved hand; your handler will give you a brief but interesting history of the bird at hand.

bulletGo one step further! This programme will give you the chance to hold three of our magnificant birds, a hawk, a falcon and an owl. Your expert handler will again give you a brief  history of the bird at hand.

Basic Handling

For all those interested in how the birds are trained and how they are used in the art of Falconry, your magical and unforgettable adventure starts here. From taming, to training and hunting you will be amazed and enlightened at the end of the programme. Not only will you be given the opportunity to hold a large selection of our birds of prey, you will get the chance to fly a bird to and from your gloved hand. A memory never to be forgotten.

Hawk Walk

This programme incorporates the Basic Handling tuition, after the initial instruction in the handling of these birds of prey you will then experience the thrill of walking through the picturesque forests surrounding Kinnitty Castle and having a hawk fly to and from your gloved hand for the duration of the walk.

Half Day Hunting

Again, this programme incorporates the basic handling experience, giving you your first taste of how these regal creatures are tamed and trained, then join our falconer in the field in pursuit of prey with one of our birds.

Full Day Hunting

Enjoy a full morning of both tuition and hunting, then after lunch in Kinnitty Castle, you will head back into the field for an afternoon of pure enjoyment.
